Searching for birth announcement cards whilst you are pregnant is probably not one of the highest priorities on your to do list, but by making the effort now will save you time when your little one or ones are born.

Fitting time in to get things done once your baby arrives - as most parents know - becomes a very precious and rare occurrence, so start your search for baby cards early on (if you can) and get the groundwork out of the way.

One of the best ways to search for your baby cards is on the internet; it's easy and very convenient as you can search from the comfort of your own home. You will discover that there are so many website providers who will provide this product for you.

Search Option Suggestions:

  1. Baby Boy Birth Announcements
  2. Baby Girl Birth Announcements
  3. Twin Birth Announcements
  4. Adoption Birth Announcements
  5. Christmas Birth Announcements
  6. Baby Birth Announcements

So before you start, just take your time and be fussy. Have a general idea in mind of what sort of card you may like; this can be determined using many factors.

Some Factors to Consider:

  • Do you know the sex of your baby? If you do then consider choosing gender related birth announcements. You could choose blue or pink as the main element of the baby announcement card or find baby birth cards with just a trace of this color running through them.
  • Have you got a certain theme in mind? Look at what types of themes the on-line websites provide. With so many internet providers you are sure to find the theme of your choice.
  • Do you want gender-neutral birth cards? You will find lots of variety for you to choose from when you start your search.
  • Personalization Options. How personalized do you want your birth announcement card to be? Check this out -- some websites offer part personalization whilst others give full personalization options.
Birth Announcement Wording

As with all new baby cards there are always specific elements that will need to be included in the card.

The main elements are -

  • The baby's full name.
  • Time of birth.
  • Where the baby was born.
  • Size and weight of the baby at birth.
  • Name of the proud parents.
  • Names of the newborn's siblings.

If you would like your card a little more personalized to your family, then there are lots of different ways that this can be achieved. You may already have a saying or verse in mind that you would like to add to your card. If not, look for inspiration from sources such as -

  • Birth announcement websites. You could mix and match various elements of the wording already printed on the birth card that are used on the websites, or just take certain words that you like the best.
  • Ask friends and family for wording ideas.
  • Children's books. This can be a great source to find magical words that would fit in nicely to your card.
  • Internet search engine. Just type in birth announcement wording ideas and you will find several sites that offer this information.
  • Theme ideas from the nursery. Select an element of the nursery you like the best or the theme of the nursery and work your ideas and words into your card.

Who you should send the birth announcement cards to.

Don't think for one minute that you have to send the birth announcements out to everyone; of course, if this is your preference then that is fine. You would usually send the cards to close family and friends; the people you know would be happy to receive a card of the little one's arrival. This is especially true if your birth card is a photo card.

Have fun with your birth announcement creations -- please remember to check your personalization options on-line once you have made changes to your cards.
